| Family reconstruction is a powerful, multi-generational psychodynamic process. It provides an opportunity in the present to update the past and reduce negative impacts of old experiences. Satir used an experiential approach that externalized internal and interpersonal processes and coping patterns through role-playing, sculpting, metaphor and drama. Following a short introduction to Family Reconstruction, Maria will demonstrate the process with an audience volunteer and role players. There will be room for questions and discussion at the end. |
