The Politics of Meaning as a Strategy to Change the Politics of the US and A Strategy to Change our Work Life and Professions: Superficial changes in "framing" the agenda of the Democratic Party or the Greens is not enough--a deeper rethinking of the whole way we do politics and the way we organize our daily lives is badly needed. This work group will ask how that new way of thinking could help us construct a and to build a parallel universe of meaning and practice in our work places, our neighborhoods, our professions, our unions, and into the discourse of people running for political office with a progressive
