meet the needs of adolescents. Professor Kumar’s mastery of education
history and philosophy, and his international understanding of Montessori
education were received with high praise at his comprehensive presentation
at the 26th International Montessori Congress in Chennai, India. This talk
presents a systemic contrast of traditional and progressive education with a
clear idea of what it takes to create a program in which teaching and learning
are in support of each other, suggesting a radical turnabout from how schools
