The deeper truths about relationship dynamics
and the ways people resolve real problems
are most apparent in a couple’s upsets, fears, and fights. Coates
will present actual cases from her clinical practice and offer
workshop participants an opportunity to discuss and debate the
best approaches to these typical human dilemmas. The group will
explore possible therapeutic solutions and look for effective ways
to alleviate the pain and stress of each client and / or couple. As
part of the process Coates will describe the natural blind spots and
biases of each client’s Enneagram type and subtype, and show how
the “Five Factors for Predicting Relationship Success” (described in
Coates and Searle’s soon-to-be published book) apply to each case.
