While the sense of urgency around the human impacts of climate change is now heightened, gender equality has largely been absent from the discourse. Yet women are extremely vulnerable to swift environmental changes, and they are also the best positioned to help curb the impacts of climate change, given their responsibilities for family and community well-being and management of resources.
